- Description:
- The EAGLE Layout Editor is an easy to use, yet powerful tool for designing
printed circuit boards (PCBs). The name EAGLE is an acronym, which stands for
Easily Applicable Graphical Layout Editor.
The program consists of three main modules:
o Layout Editor
o Schematic Editor
o Autorouter
which are embedded in a single user interface. Therefore there is no need for
converting netlists between schematics and layouts.
This is a Light Freeware Edition. It has the following limitations:
o The useable board area is limited to 100 x 80 mm (4 x 3.2 inches).
o Only two signal layers can be used (Top and Bottom).
o The schematic editor can only create one sheet.
o Support is only available via email or through our forum (no fax or phone
support).
o Use is limited to non-profit applications or evaluation purposes.
Apart from these limitations the EAGLE Light Edition can do anything the
Professional Edition can do. You can even load, view and print drawings that
exceed these limits!

- On the first run, eagle needs write access to the directory
/usr/local/share/eagle5/bin
in order to write a program key file. This can be done by executing
eagle as root or temporarily allowing a normal user to write this
directory (by suitable chown'ing).
Eagle usually creates an "eagle" directory in the user's home
directory upon initial startup. If this user does no longer want to
work on projects with eagle (e.g. the root account has been used to
create the mentioned key file), this directory can safely be deleted.

following file and the directory manually:

Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles
Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on
WWW: lines in pkg-descr files.
This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these
pkg-descr files.

Add WWW entries to port Makefiles
It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the
ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These
URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources.
Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and
they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was
present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into
the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the
port specific URL to further information.
There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as
a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time.

cad/linux-eagle5: Fix fetch error, mark deprecated
Details:
- Cadsoft, the EAGLE vendor, was acquired by Autodesk a while ago. The
EAGLE 5 series was discontinued since, and is superseded by Autodesk
EAGLE 9.
- Mark deprecated, scheduled for removal at the end of the 2022. Until
then, the distfile remains available through a LOCAL mirror.

- Autodetect the installed linux_base port and use LINUX_DEFAULT only as
a last resort.
- Construct a list of DISTFILES for every architecture (amd64, i386).
Select one list for regular make and all lists for make makesum so linux
ports can have one combined distinfo file.
- Set DIST_SUBDIR?=centos so there's only one copy of common distfiles.
- Use MASTER_SITES and DISTFILES groups so make fetch is a bit smarter.
- Regenerate all distinfo files.
- For linux_base-c6 (just like linux_base-c7 already does) turn bin, lib,
lib64 and sbin into symbolic links to the same directory under usr.
This fixes the problem where some programs/libraries exist under / on
FreeBSD and /usr on Linux or vice versa and then depending on the order
of search paths Linux programs may run/load FreeBSD programs/libraries
and fail.
- Turn usr/share/icons into a symbolic link to LOCALBASE/share/icons so (Only the first 15 lines of the commit message are shown above ) |

- In Uses/linux.mk use the loop variable directly when appending to
*_DEPENDS. Helper variables derived from the loop variable aren't
expanded causing *_DEPENDS to be incorrect.
- Bump all ports with more than one value in USE_LINUX.

- Replace Mk/bsd.linux-apps.mk and Mk/bsd.linux-rpm.mk with
Mk/Uses/linux.mk.
- Replace USE_LINUX=yes with USES+=linux and USE_LINUX=(.*) with
USES+=linux:\1 in all ports.
- Replace USE_LINUX_APPS with USE_LINUX in all ports.
- Use INSTALL_SCRIPT instead of INSTALL_PROGRAM to install scripts in some
ports.
- When USE_LINUX_RPM is defined, simplify the way DISTFILES and EXTRACT_ONLY
are defined.
- Remove BRANDELF_DIRS and BRANDELF_FILES handling. In the very rare cases
that it is still necessary ports can run ${BRANDELF} from post-patch.
- Remove AUTOMATIC_PLIST handling. Only one port used it.
- Fix Linux MASTER_SITES.
- Replace OVERRIDE_LINUX_BASE_PORT and OVERRIDE_LINUX_NONBASE_PORTS with
default versions framework. (Only the first 15 lines of the commit message are shown above ) |
