Xlog is an Amateur Radio station logger. Xlog is able to do
DXCC lookups and will display country information, CQ and ITU zone,
location in latitude and longitude and distance and heading in
kilometers or miles, both for short and long path. Locator distance
and heading calculation for VHF logging is also supported.
Xlog supports cabrillo, ADIF, trlog, and EDI and can import
twlog, editest and OH1AA logbook files.
It also has the ability to customise log fields which makes it ideal for
use in those countries that have odd logging rules such as the U.K. Also
included is the ability to log using the FCC emissions codes.

mime database is handled system wide via the trigger in the
shared-mime-info package!
Despite upstream clearly stating in its INSTALL file that Linux and BSD
packagers should not use --enable-mime-update, it was added to this
port. Remove it to get back to a sane handling of the mime database.
gnome.mk: rename gdkpixbuf2 to gdkpixbuf to prepare for port move
The GTK 1-based gdk-pixbuf has not existed for some time.

Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles
Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on
WWW: lines in pkg-descr files.
This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these
pkg-descr files.

Add WWW entries to port Makefiles
It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the
ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These
URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources.
Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and
they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was
present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into
the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the
port specific URL to further information.
There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as
a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time.

MASTER_SITES cleanup.
- Replace ${MASTER_SITE_FOO} with FOO.
- Merge MASTER_SITE_SUBDIR into MASTER_SITES when possible. (This means 99.9%
of the time.)
- Remove occurrences of MASTER_SITE_LOCAL when no subdirectory was present and
no hint of what it should be was present.
- Fix some logic.
- And generally, make things more simple and easy to understand.
While there, add magic values to the FESTIVAL, GENTOO, GIMP, GNUPG, QT and
SAMBA macros.
Also, replace some EXTRACT_SUFX occurences with USES=tar:*.

Presenting GNOME 2.20.1 and all related works for FreeBSD. The official
GNOME 2.20 release notes can be found at
http://www.gnome.org/start/2.20/notes/en/ . Beyond that, this update
includes the new GIMP 2.4 (courtesy of ahze).
The GNOME 2.20 update also includes a huge change in the FreeBSD GNOME
hierarchy. We are now using the more standard DATADIR of ${PREFIX}/share
rather than ${PREFIX}/share/gnome. The result is that fewer patches and
hacks are needed to port GNOME components to FreeBSD. This will mean some
user changes may be required, so be sure to read /usr/ports/UPDATING for
more details.
This release and the things we accomplished in it would not have been
possible without mezz's crazy idea to collapse DATADIR, and his persistence
to make it happen successfully. Ahze and pav also deserve thanks for

- Set --mandir and --infodir in CONFIGURE_ARGS if the configure script
supports them. This is determined by running ``configure --help'' in
do-configure target and set the shell variable _LATE_CONFIGURE_ARGS
which is then passed to CONFIGURE_ARGS.

Few ports use REINPLACE_CMD to achieve the same effect, remove them too.
