Deprecate Go library ports
Many of them are out of date now and there are few reasons to have
them in the tree [1].

Github cleanup.
- Use the version tag instead of commit hash when they're the same.
- Remove unnneeded variables.
- Simplify go- ports when possible.
- Various fixes.
