The gSOAP Web services development toolkit offers an XML to C/C++ language
binding to ease the development of SOAP/XML Web services in C and C/C++.
Most toolkits for C++ Web services adopt a SOAP-centric view and offer APIs
that require the use of class libraries for SOAP-specific data structures.
This often forces a user to adapt the application logic to these libraries.
In contrast, gSOAP provides a transparent SOAP API through the use of proven
compiler technologies. These technologies leverage strong typing to map
XML schemas to C/C++ definitions. Strong typing provides a greater assurance
on content validation of both WSDL schemas and SOAP/XML messages.
===> The following configuration options are available for gsoap-2.8.144:
DEBUG=off: Build with debugging support
IPV6=on: IPv6 protocol support
====> SSL protocol support: you can only select none or one of them
GNUTLS=off: SSL/TLS support via GnuTLS
OPENSSL=on: SSL/TLS support via OpenSSL
===> Use 'make config' to modify these settings
Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles
Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on
WWW: lines in pkg-descr files.
This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these
pkg-descr files.
Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)
Add WWW entries to port Makefiles
It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the
ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These
URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources.
Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and
they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was
present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into
the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the
port specific URL to further information.
There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as
a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time.

- Update security/gnutls to 3.4.10.
- Rename the LIBDANE option DANE because that's the name of the protocol
supported by libgnutls-dane and gnutls-cli. Also clarify the option
description.
- Add an IDN option.
- libgnutls-openssl has been removed in 3.4. Some ports used this library
in their LIB_DEPENDS but no port actually required it.
- Some old API functions have been removed. Ports that used these have been
updated or patched to use the new API.
- Add a patch to print/cups to prevent overlinking of libgnutls.so.
- Bump PORTREVISION on dependent ports.
net-im/jabber: This port used the old API to give users fine grained
control over which crypto algorithms were used via a configuration file.
It's not immediately obvious how to port this to the new API so the port
always uses the defaults now.
www/hydra: Mark BROKEN. This uses more removed calls than the other ports,
is said to be alpha quality and not fully functional and has been abandoned
10 years ago.

Remove unnecessary CPPFLAGS and fix the import paths properly. It seems
there was an upstream bug introduced in 2.7.11 (via Red Hat), which broke
the default values. In r295977, we added a hack to override these two
definitions but it was actually incomplete and incorrect, e. g., the import
path for wsdl2h was still not properly set. Now we fix the root cause of
these longstanding problems correctly.
- Update to 2.8.17.
- Add LICENSE, support staging, and convert LIB_DEPENDS to new format.
- Remove archivers/unzip dependency.
- Remove devel/gmake dependency. bmake works fine now.
- Remove ONLY_FOR_ARCHS. I believe it is no longer true.
- Do not add "-fPIC" to CFLAGS for amd64.
- Prefer CPPFLAGS over CFLAGS.
- Consistently use (b)yacc from base. When devel/bison is installed,
the configure script automatically uses it instead of yacc from base.
- Use OPTIONS_RADIO instead of OPTIONS_DEFINE for SSL selection to
avoid user confusion, i. e., selecting both GNUTLS and OpenSSL should
not be allowed.
- Create a symbolic link instead of a hard link for stdsoap2.cpp.
