emulators/amiberry: New port: Optimised Amiga emulator
Amiberry is an optimized Amiga emulator for Intel/AMD, ARM (32bit and
64bit) and RISC-V platforms.
The core emulation comes from WinUAE, and even the main GUI is designed
to look similar to that. It includes JIT support to get high-performance
results on CPU-intensive emulated environments, like desktop
applications. On top of that, there are some unique features developed
specifically for Amiberry, such as the WHDLoad booter, support for
RetroArch controller mapping, and several more.

emulators/virtualbox-ose{,-kmod,-nox11}-72: Add new ports VirtualBox 7.2.0
Port based on patch from Stas Timokhin <devel@stasyan.com>.
The main work on porting was done by the author of the original patch.
The rest is a several various improvements and bug fixes that have been
made over the past few months in older versions and one upstream
regression: https://github.com/VirtualBox/virtualbox/issues/135
The requirements for 7.2.x are the same as for 7.1.x, but for now we'll
leave both versions: 7.2.x in experimental/test mode and 7.1.x - stable.
Upstream ported on aarch64, but for now we keep ONLY_FOR_ARCHS=amd64.
If you interested in porting it on aarch64 - create PR with patch.
The following ports also need to be created (they are not available for
versions 7.0.x and 7.1.x either):
- emulators/virtualbox-ose-additions-72;
- emulators/virtualbox-ose-additions-nox11-72.
www/phpvirtualbox-72 already in ports.

emulators/open-vm-{tools,kmod}: split the package
Split the package to build the kmods separatly! Building separately has
multiple benefits:
1. it allows user to rebuild when they upgrade their kernel without
rebuilding all of the tools which can take a long time.
2. it allows us to provide the modules in the new kmods package
repository
3. it installs the kmods the in the same place as the regular kmods:
/boot/modules
It means we can probably get rid of the rc script in favor if letting
users use kld_list mecanism but I will let this decision to the
maintainer based on what it probably best for users.

filesystems: add new category for file systems and related utilities
The filesystems category houses file systems and file system utilities.
It is added mainly to turn the sysutils/fusefs-* pseudo-category into
a proper one, but is also useful for the sundry of other file systems
related ports found in the tree.
Ports that seem like they belong there are moved to the new category.
Two ports, sysutils/fusefs-funionfs and sysutils/fusefs-fusepak are
not moved as they currently don't fetch and don't have TIMESTAMP set
in their distinfo, but that is required to be able to push a rename
of the port by the pre-receive hook.

ares is an open-source multi-system emulator with a focus on accuracy and
preservation. It is a descendant of the emulators higan and bsnes. It's source
code is structured to be maximally readable and self-documenting.
ares supports the following systems: Arcade, WonderSwan, WonderSwan Color,
Pocket Challenge V2, ColecoVision, PC-Engine / TurboGrafx, SuperGrafx, My
Vision, NES / Famicom, Famicom Disk System, SNES / Super Famicom, Satellaview,
Sufami Turbo, Nintendo 64, Nintendo 64DD, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy
Advance, SG-1000, Master System / Mark III, Mega Drive / Genesis, Mega CD, 32X,
Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket, Neo Geo Pocket Color.
ares has experimental support for the following systems: Atari 2600, MSX, MSX2,
PC-Engine CD / TurboGrafx CD, ZX Spectrum, Neo Geo (AES/MVS), PlayStation.
ares has all the features one would expect from a great emulator system: native
multi-platform UI, dynamic rate control, save states, run-ahead, rewind and
fast-forward, pixel shaders, color correction, input multi-mapping, debugger.
ares uses librashader for it's pixel shader engine. This means it is highly
compatible with existing slang shaders, e.g. the slang-shaders from libretro.

emulators/wine8: New port, cloning emulators/wine
Wine 9 has been released some weeks ago and it's time to upgrade the

remove the MONO option.

Wine 8 has been released late last year and we have not seen

To unstall the situation, create emulators/wine7 as a clone of

emulators/tic-80: fantasy game console
TIC-80 is a free and open source fantasy computer for making, playing

With TIC-80 you get built-in tools for development: code, sprites, maps,
sound editors and the command line, which is enough to create a mini
retro game.
Games are packaged into a cartridge file, which can be easily
distributed. TIC-80 works on all popular platforms. This means your
cartridge can be played in any device.
To make a retro styled game, the whole process of creation and execution
takes place under some technical limitations: 240x136 pixel display,
16 color palette, 256 8x8 color sprites, 4 channel sound, etc.

emulators/vt100: Add port: Simulation of VT100 terminal hardware
This emulator emulates the internal circuitry and processor of the VT100 for a
very realistic user experience.
It is slightly patched to work smoothly on FreeBSD. Some additional quality of
life patches have been added in discussion with upstream and will be added to a
future release.
This is a software simulation of the VT100 hardware. The original
firmware ROM is built in and executed by an 8080 emulator. Other
components include video display with character generator ROM, settings
NVRAM, Intel 8251 USART, and a keyboard matrix scanner. The Advance
Video Option is not included.

- Update VirtualBox OSE to 6.1.18
- Old VirtualBox OSE 5.2.44 preserved as "-legacy" versions of the
ports (repocopied)
- Add back extra patch removed in r528258, actually required to
build DEBUG kmod
- Correctly define WITH_DEBUG when enabling the DEBUG option, so
binaries are not stripped
Please note that this new version supports only amd64 CPUs. If you need
to use older hardware please install the legacy ports.
Note that moving VM snapshots across major updates is unsupported, it's
strongly suggested to properly shutdown VMs before upgrading, please
check UPDATING for further details.
This update is the result of work from many people, and thanks to all
who gave feedback and tested things.

Remove most expired ports that depend on Python 2.7:
Exceptions are:
- mail/mailman, our listservers still use it
- www/chromium, solely because of popular demand,
upstream is (slowly) working on porting it to Python 3
- ports that have actual patches for Python 3 against
them (Cinnamon and a few unrelated other ports)
- llvm70 and qt5-webengine because they seem to have a lot
of dependencies which need further analysis
- sysutils/uefi-edk2-bhyve because bhyve seems to use them
- python2 and python27 themselves
I'm sure there will be complaints, but the nice thing about
a version control system is that we can revert and adjust things.

Add tnylpo, an elegant CP/M emulator
Unlike other emulators, it does not only emulate a Z80 CPU, but
essentially all the CP/M 2.2 BDOS services straight at the Unix
level. Thus, one can run any CP/M command straight from the Unix
command prompt.
