Gauche is a fast, portable Scheme interpreter with "batteries included".
It conforms to the R5RS and R7RS language standards, supports lots of
SRFI out of the box, adds its own object-oriented programming framework,
and supports the R7RS library system as well as its own pre-R7RS module
system. Gauche is designed for rapid development of scripts to assist
daily work in system administration, text processing, and other fields.
It can handle UTF-8, EUC-JP, and Shift JIS character strings natively.

Also remove our local changes that replaced x86_64 with amd64 because
these complicate porting by forcing port maintainers to replace x86_64
with amd64 in configure scripts.
Additional changes:
bsd.port.mk: Apply S/amd64/x86_64/ to CONFIGURE_TARGET. This is not
required to run configure but some ports need to use this in pkg-plist.
comms/qico, news/fidogate:
CONFIGURE_TARGET shouldn't contain "--build". Just remove it altogether
because the default value is fine.

The port has expired but isn't removed yet because there are still too
many consumers. Rename it because the name "security/mbedtls" makes it
look like it's the default version.

AxTLS support had been dropped. This library hasn't been updated for
a while and it can't connect to some TLS sites. The only TLS provider
now is MbedTLS (still remains optional).
Also, internal encodings `eucjp', `sjis', and `none' had been removed,
as well as --enable-threads option (appropriate thread subsystem for
the platform will be automatically selected). The number of libraries
that assume thread support is growing, hence maintaining the case when
threads are not available is becoming a burden.
While here, use GNU make's $(shell) function to get more useful build
logs and install manpages under $PREFIX/share/man per new world order.
One more thing: i386 build got broken after upstream commit 79f72d18;
while we're investigating the cause and trying to find the solution,
mark the port as such. :-(

Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles
Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on
WWW: lines in pkg-descr files.
This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these
pkg-descr files.

Add WWW entries to port Makefiles
It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the
ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These
URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources.
Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and
they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was
present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into
the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the
port specific URL to further information.
There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as
a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time.

which restores compatibility with old databases (version 1.8) and some
later versions which were built without mmap(2) support. Due to shlib

Install texinfo files (GNU info) into ${PREFIX}/share/info
After a discussion on the mailing list on moving manpages to
${PREFIX}/share/man for consistency with base where it is
installed in usr/share/man, it appeared the same should happen
to GNU info files which were installed under share in base and
not in ports.
Now texinfo is not in base on any of the supported version of FreeBSD
it is possible to proceed to this move and it is easier to do than
the manpage change.
Other benefit than consistency are less patching: all build tools but
cmake are expecting info files to be under share/info and cmake (patched here)
was having an exception for BSD so the patch makes FreeBSD case less
specific for them

Unbreak the build of `lang/gauche' when option SLIB is set: by default,
upstream expects that SLIB catalogue is generated *after* everything is
installed. They are aware that this logic does not go along well with
staging (e.g. for RPM, they suggest it to be called in the postinstall
script), and also provide ``slibcat-in-place'' target which is exactly
what we need for staging.
Patch the ``Makefile.in'' since I find these changes easier to follow/
debug than changes to the port's Makefile suggested in the PR.

Unbreak the build on sparc64: configure script was correctly detecting that
extra MD file is required, but since it is under `src' subdirectory, make(1)
was not able to find and make it. While here, remove s|-lpthread|-pthread|
gimmick which is no-op these days.
For ports that are marked BROKEN on armv6, and also fail to build on
armv7, mark them so.
This is part two of a multipart commit to bring armv7 ports to parity
with armv6.

The output of tools like awk, date, sort, tr,... depends on the current
locale set by the user. Add LANG=C and LC_ALL=C at the beginning of
bsd.port.mk and export them so all commands are executed with the C locale.
LC_ALL=C overrides all other LC_* variables. LANG is used by setlocale(3)
as default value for LC_* variables, so normally it isn't used when LC_ALL
is set, but there's code out there that looks at LANG directly so it's safer
to set it as well. The only commands not captured by this are !=
assignments before any inclusion of bsd.port.*mk.
Introduce USE_LOCALE=<locale> that adds LANG=<locale> and LC_ALL=<locale> to
CONFIGURE_ENV and MAKE_ENV so upstream build systems can be executed with a
different locale (e.g. USE_LOCALE=en_US.UTF-8).

Remove BROKEN on Tier-2 systems statements which no longer true at least
on PowerPC (verified for all of them) and some also on SPARC (whenever I
was able to test those on flame.freebsd.org) and even IA64 (which should
be OK to remove anyways, because it was never really supported system in
ports land and was officially killed in -CURRENT a while ago.
Introduce variable ICONV_PREFIX at Mk/Uses/iconv.mk. The default for
pre 100043 is ${LOCALBASE} and /usr otherwise. Convert all ports to
new variable usage.
