Postfix attempts to be fast, easy to administer, and secure, while at the same
time being sendmail compatible enough to not upset existing users. Thus, the
outside has a sendmail-ish flavor, but the inside is completely different.
Some feautures:
Connection cache for SMTP, DSN status notifications, IP version 6, Plug-in
support for multiple SASL implementations (Cyrus, Dovecot), TLS encryption and
authentication, Configurable status notification message text, Access control
per client/sender/recipient/etc, Content filter (built-in, external before
queue, external after queue), Berkeley DB database, LDAP database, MySQL

Update to 2.6.18 and revise the PKGINSTALL script to
distinguish between upgrades and fresh installs. Also,
backport an upstream patch that allows Postfix packages
to build in a jail that has IPv6 enabled, but no addresses
assigned on any interface.
Modify pkg-install to handle situations in which
/etc/mail/mailer.conf does not exist, e.g. when
FreeBSD is built WITHOUT_MAILWRAPPER.
This commit only affects legacy Postfix releases,
as the latest stable and development ports already
perform this check.

In the rc.d scripts, change assignments to rcvar to use the
literal name_enable wherever possible, and ${name}_enable
when it's not, to prepare for the demise of set_rcvar().
In cases where I had to hand-edit unusual instances also
modify formatting slightly to be more uniform (and in
some cases, correct). This includes adding some $FreeBSD$
tags, and most importantly moving rcvar= to right after
name= so it's clear that one is derived from the other.
Shorten some OPTION descriptions such that they
fit neatly within the dialog(1) box.

upstream install script.
Security: CVE-2011-1720
Update to 2.6.8, fix a typo in CONFLICTS, and modify
pkg-install script to check whether Postfix is already
enabled in mailer.conf[1].
