multimedia/libdvdcss:
- USES=gmake libtool pathfix tar:bzip2.
- INSTALL_TARGET=install-strip.
- Use options.
- Staging.
- Simplify post-patch commands.
- This update changes the library version but this allows removing
libdvdcss related patches from dependent ports.
multimedia/libxine: [1]
- Add USES=libtool:keepla and remove libtool related patches and post-patch
commands.
- Move bsd.port.pre.mk include down and remove WANT_GNOME.
- Remove USE_XORG=sm. libxine doesn't link to it.
- Remove CONFIGURE_ENV. Not needed. (Only the first 15 lines of the commit message are shown above ) |

The FreeBSD x11@ and graphics team proudly presents
a zeising, kwm production, with help from dumbbell, bdrewery:
NEW XORG ON FREEBSD 9-STABLE AND 10-STABLE
This update switches over to use the new xorg stack by default on FreeBSD 9
and 10 stable, on osversions where vt(9) is available.
It is still possible to use the old stack by specifying WITHOUT_NEW_XORG in
/etc/make.conf .
FreeBSD 8-STABLE and released versions of FreeBSD still use
the old version.
A package repository with binary packages for new xorg will
be available soon.
This patch also contains updates of libxcb and related ports, pixman, as well (Only the first 15 lines of the commit message are shown above ) |

Unbreak the build after r324037:
1) `devel/libnotify' no longer pulls gtk20; we must depend explicitly;
2) `x11-toolkits/pango' now depends on `print/harfbuzz', which installs
header file ($localbase/include/harfbuzz/hb.h) that in turn confuses
bundled libass' configure script and conflicts with HandBrake's own
internal header.
NB: supposedly it should have been caught by exp-run for r324037, but it
was not for some reason.

Handbrake tries to dlopen() libdvdcss.so.2, while library installed by the
libdvdcss package is actually libdvdcss.so.3, so the call always fails and
handbrake is unable to properly read CSS-encoded DVDs.
Patch in the PR suggested bumping requested shlib version accordingly, but
methinks it is better to just remove it completely from CSS_LIB definition.
While here, register run-time dependency on `multimedia/libdvdcss'.

- Update to version 0.9.8, the latest to date
- Define LICENSE knob, cleanup Makefile, add comments, etc.
- Do not rename binary name upon install to match packages for other OSes
- Tidy up port description to match upstream text closer
- Make COMMENT more user-friendly (looking at Ubuntu)

new devel/pkgconf added to replace devel/pkg-config. new version of pkg-config
are no more self hosting so we are stuck with 0.25 version while pkgconf provide
the same set of features as 0.27 and a compatible frontend. A symlink to
pkg-config has been added for convenience and compatibility
This also introduces a new macro to use pkgconf in your ports:
USE_PKGCONFIG
it can take the following arguments:
- yes (meaning build only dep)
- build (meaning build only dep)
- run (meaning run only dep)
- both (meaning run and build dep)
From now USE_GNOME= pkgconfig is deprecated in favour of USE_PKGCONFIG
The old gnome macro has been modified to use pkgconf but still the sameway: run
and build dep to avoid large breakage.
While here fix some ports relying on pkg-config but not specifying it, fix some
ports broken because testing wrong .pc files, and fix ports using pkg-config
--version to determine pkg-config version instead of
pkg-config --modversion pkg-config like recommanded by pkg-config

- Fix the build if multimedia/x264 is installed in system. [1]
- Add --exclude in extract to not extract beos, macosx, liba52, libavcodec,
libdvdcss and other un-need directories to make sure they do build with the
system (use external dependencies) libraries. Only keep libx264.
- Remove a few missing leftover of ffmpeg in post-patch and in one of patch.
- Add '-dx' in jam by default to give the verbose of build. Easier for me to
collect the bug report or/and read in log from tinderboxes.
- Clean distinfo, remove a leftover of ffmpeg and add SHA256.
- Clean pkg-descr to make it looks nicer.
- Make portlint a bit happier.
Before anyone ask/request me to update it to 7.x. I don't know yet, I haven't
dig in what 7.x has. I think, this port needs to have a good last clean up
before update it to 7.x.
