A fast and lightweight GTK+2 BitTorrent client.
Transmission has been built from the ground up to be a lightweight, yet
powerful BitTorrent client. Its simple, intuitive interface is designed
to integrate tightly with whatever computing environment you choose to
use. Transmission strikes a balance between providing useful functionality
without feature bloat. Furthermore, it is free for anyone to use or modify.

care about those header, so you even can claim that those were created by

Sadly, Transmission has stopped supporting GTK 2.0 (it had to happen some day).
They now require GTK 3.2.0 [1], which we currently lack, so for those who
wish to use the GTK frontend need to stay on version 2.5
When our GTK is upgraded I'll make MOVED entries to make the transition back to
2.6 as seamless as possible.

Remove USE_GNOME=gnometarget from ports. It has been a empty keyword since
mid 2008.

Remove patch-libtransmission_platform.c, use -g/-w options in the rc script
instead. Bump the PORTREVISION on cli, daemon and gtk.

Release these ports into wild. I don't have time for these ports anymore. I am
keeping maintain two ports that don't require a lot of time to take care of.
- Update to 1.31, be sure to read in UPDATING.
- Move transmission to transmission-cli, transmission becomes a meta-port.
- Add transmission-web, it's a web interface (Clutch) as it has merged into
its project.

Bump portrevision due to upgrade of devel/gettext.
The affected ports are the ones with gettext as a run-dependency
according to ports/INDEX-7 (5007 of them) and the ones with USE_GETTEXT

The tarball has been re-rolled. They have forgotten to bump the version and
a bit tweak in NEWS. Bump the PORTREVISION to have version correct when users
report to their bug tracker.

bump the version.h from 1.02 (4798) to 1.02 (4809), fix .desktop file, and
update the build tools.
autoconf 2.59 -> 2.61
automake 1.9.6 -> 1.10
intltool 0.35.0 -> 0.36.2
It's not much. The fix .desktop and version.h are the reason that they
re-rolled the tarball, so bump the PORTREVISION.

Update to 0.90. I am letting transmission to use libevent in its tarball that
will be build in static, because of libevent port has a crazy library change
at the each release (libevent-1.<version>.so.1).
Update to 0.72. I had to pull svn, create tarball on my own and put it in my
freefall space. The offical tarball has been created two or three times and he
couldn't get it right. Right now, it has the wrong branch in offical tarball.
Transmission is a free, lightweight BitTorrent client. It features a
simple, intuitive interface on top on an efficient, cross-platform
back-end.
Transmission is open source (MIT license) and runs on Mac OS X (Cocoa
interface), Linux/NetBSD/FreeBSD/OpenBSD (GTK+ interface) and BeOS
(native interface).
