Opal is a full-featured VoIP library that supports a variety of protocols
and multimedia formats. Features include:

Through the use of a platform isolation library called PTLIB, Opal can run on

BTW: OPAL is an acronym for Open Phone Abstraction Library, but that is not

Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles
Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on
WWW: lines in pkg-descr files.
This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these
pkg-descr files.

Add WWW entries to port Makefiles
It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the
ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These
URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources.
Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and
they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was
present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into
the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the
port specific URL to further information.
There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as
a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time.

There is no definition of that type anywhere in /usr/include.

Bump PORTREVISION for ports depending on the canonical version of GCC
as defined in Mk/bsd.default-versions.mk which has moved from GCC 8.3
to GCC 9.1 under most circumstances now after revision 507371.
This includes ports
- with USE_GCC=yes or USE_GCC=any,
- with USES=fortran,
- using Mk/bsd.octave.mk which in turn features USES=fortran, and
- with USES=compiler specifying openmp, nestedfct, c11, c++0x, c++11-lang,
c++11-lib, c++14-lang, c++17-lang, or gcc-c++11-lib

Fix type for abs() calls in net/opal
During the exp-run in bug 208158, it was found that net/opal gives
errors with libc++ 3.8.0 [1]:
../common/mpi.cxx:135:18: error: call to 'abs' is ambiguous
distance = ( abs(MPIs[i].width - desiredWidth ) *

This is because abs() is being called with unsigned arguments. Fix
this by casting the arguments to the appropriate signed type. This
mimics what happens with older libraries where the only version of
abs() was the one in <stdlib.h>, which is prototyped:
int abs(int)
Correct functioning of this expression relies on how integer overflow
actually behaves, which is actually undefined in the C++ standard.

net/opal: Fix build with ffmpeg 3.0.x
- Add patch to allow opal to build successfully once multimedia/ffmpeg
is updated to 3.0.x. Note that multimedia/ffmpeg is currently still
on the 2.8.x branch, however this patch is backwards compatible with
ffmpeg 2.8.x.

multimedia/x264: General overhaul
- Split x264 into two ports: the CLI application (x264), and the library
(libx264). This will allow x264 to use lavf and friends from ffmpeg for
decoding and demuxing while preventing a circular dependency between the
two: x264 can depend on ffmpeg, but ffmpeg will depend on libx264 rather
than x264.
- Add the LAVF option to the CLI port, making the dependency on ffmpeg
optional.
- Update to 0.142.2455.
- Amend fixes to local patches so that they can apply to the new upstream
files.
- Provide the git revision and other version information to the build
environment, allowing the CLI binary to display this information (like the
Windows builds).
- Remove unsupported build options (X11_OUTPUT).
- Ensure that the library and CLI ports each have the appropriate options.
- Add notes for future contributors who wish to update the ports.
- Bump PORTREVISION for all dependent ports.

Upgrade opal to 2.2.8 (from 2.2.4) and ekiga to 2.0.9 (from 2.0.4).
These versions are only available from Ekiga.org, rather than from
the traditionally used site VoxGratia.org...
Turn the previously "hidden" knobs into OPTIONS. Make ekiga accept
whatever versions of opal and pwlib are installed.
Take over maintainership, as I plan to use ekiga myself -- unlike
the current maintainer.

Always use -fPIC, when building shared libraries. Apparently, this is
not always required on i386.
While here, remove requirements for particular shlib-versions of the
dependencies.

Add patch to fix build when LOCALBASE != /usr/local. The configure
script checked explicitly in /usr/local for pwlib. This patch has
also been sent upstream.
Patch does not affect build when LOCALBASE == /usr/local, so no
PORTREVISION bump required.

When net/asterisk is installed, net/opal does not build because it detects the

New port net/opal based on net/openh323
OPAL is the "next generation" of OpenH323 that has a new
architecture. The new port is based on net/openh323 (same
author, port Makefiles very similar), so could you please:
1) make a repocopy from openh323 to opal
2) apply the patch in opal, note that old patch files are
removed, and a new patch file is provided
