- Description:
- Send print jobs to lpd servers anywhere on a network. Does not require
lpd server to be listed in client's /etc/printcap, and is therefore
useful for printing from machines one does not have root access on.
Gettext (-lintl) is not used by this port because it adds bloat
without functionality -- there are no language files supplied with this
package yet. May be in future versions.

Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles
Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on
WWW: lines in pkg-descr files.
This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these
pkg-descr files.

Add WWW entries to port Makefiles
It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the
ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These
URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources.
Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and
they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was
present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into
the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the
port specific URL to further information.
There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as
a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time.

Add a patch to allow specifying remote printer by IP-address, rather
than only by hostname. Bump PORTREVISION.

While here:
* replace the (short) pkg-plist with PLIST_FILES variable;
* relax permissions on the client binaries from 4511 to 4555 --
otherwise tar refuses to package them, when running as non-root;
* declare license (GPLv2);
* link to description page, that works (author's site is down);
* add some working mirrors (author's site is down).

Bump portrevision due to upgrade of devel/gettext.
The affected ports are the ones with gettext as a run-dependency
according to ports/INDEX-7 (5007 of them) and the ones with USE_GETTEXT
in Makefile (29 of them).

Change the MASTER_SITE to its (functional) http-equivalent and bump
the version from 2.05 to 2.06. The only change works around OSes
without vsyslog() and has no effect on FreeBSD, but the old distfile
has long disappeared... |

Upgrade from 2.04 to 2.05. The author closed the recently discovered
security flaw, which was already fixed in FreeBSD. But the older tarball
is no longer available, hence the upgrade. |

How stupid of me -- forgot to `cvs add' the patch fixing the recent
security issue prior to last commit. Now have to also bump the PORTREVISION. |

Update to 2.04 (only released 3 years ago). Unforbid by the new patch-msg
(reviewed by eik@). Reword pkg-descr and add WWW. Set MASTER_SITES to the
author's own site -- SunSite still lists 2.02 as the latest. |

gettext upgrade uber-patch (stage 3)
- switch devel/gettext (0.11.1) on, installing full package
- flip devel/gettext-old (0.10.35) to installing only static binaries
with a "-old" suffix -- gettext-old will have its deorbit burn
sequence initiated just after 4.6-RELEASE
- fix up ports for the new world order
