- Description:
- xmltex implements a non validating parser for documents matching
the W3C XML Namespaces Recommendation. The system may just be used
to parse the file (expanding entity references and normalising
namespace declarations) in which case it records a trace of the
parse on the terminal. Normally however the information from the
parse is used to trigger TeX typesetting code. Declarations (in
TeX syntax) are provided as part of xmltex to associate TeX code
with the start and end of each XML element, attributes, processing
instructions, and with unicode character data.

print/tex-xmltex: Update dists
- The distfile has been replaced with a locally modified distfile
including all the patches required resulting in a smaller distfile.
The delta is a huge step forward reducing the original file from 3.6GB
to <1 MB.
- There are still some ports which uses the original upstream distfile
of 3.6GB but I will slowly replace them with smaller targeted dists to
reduce the fetch target duration.
- Not bumping as the resulting pkg is same.

Mk/**tex.mk: Convert bsd.tex.mk to USES=tex
- Update all the consumers to use USES=tex
- USE_TEX=yes is the old way of writing USES=tex which has been removed
and replaced in all ports
- Almost all of the USE_TEX features remains unchanged
- Some consumers had the same variables defined both in the mk
infrastructure and also in the ports which have been removed from the
ports as those are redundant.
In case any of the consumers are failing to build please make sure that
the nexessary USES=tex is there. Unlike previous USE_TEX=yes will no
longer load the required VARS for tex and related dependencies.

Update TeXLive to TL2015.
- print/texlive-infra was renamed with print/texlive-tlmgr.
Note that currently tlmgr(1) does not work because of
lack of TLPDB. This will be fixed.
- Lua libraries used in LuaTeX are separated into
devel/tex-libtexlua and devel/texlibtexluajit.
USE_TEX supports them via keywords "texlua" and "texluajit".
- libsynctex is currently installed by devel/tex-web2c.
This will be separated into a single port.
- Add graphics/libpotrace and use installed libpotrace
and libharfbuzz. |

Update TeXLive to 2014.
- Note that full support of configuration tools such as tlmgr and texconfig
is not ready yet.
- Most of dviware now supports libpaper to choose the default papersize.
Use paperconfig(8) utility or print/papersize-default-* packages.
- Some quite old macros of the age of latex209 have been removed, and
there are user-visible/invisible incompatibilities. Please send a report
to freebsd-tex@FreeBSD.org or file a PR if you have trouble. |

1.9 07 May 2013 08:44:32 |

- Separate print/tex-dvipdfmx from print/texlive-base and add libpaper
support. dvipdfmx's default paper size can be set by
${LOCALBASE}/etc/papersize and/or PAPERSIZE environment variable as
other programs like print/psutils do.
- Use absolute pathname in {fmtutil,texconfig,updmap}-sys programs because
manually-installed and/or old TeXLive files can prevent them from
working. [1]
- Fix pkg-plist in print/texlive-texmf.
- Remove DIST_SUBDIR from Mk/bsd.tex.mk.
