- Description:
- This module provides methods for authenticating a user.
It uses HTTPD::UserAdmin to lookup passwords in a
database. Subclasses provide methods specific to the
authentication mechanism.
Currently, under HTTP/1.0 the only supported
authentication mechanism is Basic Authentication. NCSA
Mosaic and NCSA HTTPd understand the proposed Message
Digest Authentication, which should make it into the HTTP
spec someday. This module supports both.

No longer available from CPAN. Any pkg-descr that references NCSA
Mosaic and http/1.0 probably means that this port is no longer useful ... |

Lots and lots of cleanups. Teach p5-* in general about PKGNAMEPREFIX. Add
some missing/wrong dependencies. Show how to respect CC/CFLAGS. Many
miscellaneous modifications. I used more excessive hacks to force p5-Jcode
and p5-WWW-Search to respect CC/CFLAGS. |
