Description:
Squirm is a fast & configurable redirector for the Squid. Squirm has the following features: -Very, very fast -Virtually no memory usage -It can re-read it's config files while running by sending it a HUP signal -Interactive test mode for checking new configs -Full regular expression matching and replacement -Config files for patterns and IP addresses. -If you mess up the config file, Squirm runs in Dodo Mode so your squid keeps working :-) It has been written because the existing redirector scripts used too much memory and all were too slow for Squids that receive a lot of requests. It can handle nifty things like file mirrors with the regex pattern replacement strings, and do site blocking - useful for schools. It could also do such things as banner add rewriting, and just about anything else :-) WWW: http://squirm.foote.com.au/

Retire www/squid in a month, and deprecate 6 dependent ports too

Squid cache is only supported for one stable release. There was an
exception for squid 2.7 (www/squid) as it was supported until squid 3.x
reached feature parity which occurred with the release of Squid 3.2

Thus the maintainers of Squid have declared Squid 2.7 reached End-of-Life
on 14 August 2012. As a result, set this port to expire on 15 Sept 2014.

Seven ports dependent on www/squid have been deprecated with the same
date. Perhaps they can be switched to www/squid33 before they expire.

Remove indefinite articles and trailing periods from COMMENT, plus
minor COMMENT typos and surrounding whitespace fixes. A few Makefiles
where not included as they contain Latin-1 characters that break
the Phabricator workflow. Category W.

For ports maintained by ports@FreeBSD.org, remove names and/or
e-mail addresses from the pkg-descr file that could reasonably
be mistaken for maintainer contact information in order to avoid
confusion on the part of users looking for support. As a pleasant
side effect this also avoids confusion and/or frustration for people
who are no longer maintaining those ports.

- Update to 1.2.6 [1]
- Fix patch files to match new source [1]
- Change logic in Makefile to use the SQUID_UID and SQUID_GID defaults
that the squid port uses, remove the need to specify the uid/gid,
but inform the user that the defaults are used. (remove the
  NO_PACKAGE block) [1]
- Rename patches to reflect which files are patched

- Change runtime dependency from www/squid24 (which is about to be retired) to
www/squid. Since the squid redirector interface should not have changed from
squid 2.4 to 2.5, squirm should work with squid 2.5 as well (testers welcome).
- Reinstate original MASTER_SITE: while the content on that site only refers to
squirm 1.0-BetaB, squirm-1.23 is actually fetchable from there.
- Bump PORTREVISION.
