Add datalegreya, a typeface which can interweave data curves with text.
Datalegreya can be used in all contexts where small space is available to
synthetically display graphical data: connected objects, embedded displays,
annual reports, weather report, stock prices, etc.

New port: x11-fonts/gofont-ttf
The Go font family includes proportional- and fixed-width faces in
normal, bold, and italic renderings. The fonts have been tested
for technical uses, particularly programming. Go source code looks
particularly good when displayed in Go fonts, as its name implies, with
things like punctuation characters easily distinguishable and operators
lined up and placed consistently.

x11-fonts/oldschool-pc-fonts: add new port
PR: 212984
Submitted by: matthew@reztek.cz
The Ultimate Oldschool PC Font Pack started out with the idea of paying tribute
to ancient PCs and their bitmapped, pre-GUI typography (if you can call it
that). It was inspired by similar efforts that cover other vintage machines:
classic system fonts from the Amiga, C64, Apple II, Mac, ZX Spectrum,
Atari 8-bit/ST etc. are all celebrated. On the other hand, the IBM PC and its
clones seem to get little love... except for that one VGA text mode font
(which has been remade numerous times, to varying degrees of success).
This collection is here to remedy that, and to bring you pixel-perfect remakes
of various type styles from text-mode era PCs - in modern, multi-platform,
Unicode-compatible TrueType form (plus straight bitmap versions).
Although the goal is to make it a complete resource, the main focus is on
hardware character sets: the kind that's located in a ROM chip on the system
board or graphics card, which is what you'd see by default when working in
text (or graphics) mode. Software-loadable fonts are also within the scope of
this collection (if associated with a particular machine or display system),
so some of these have also made it in.

Exo 2 is a complete redrawing of Exo, a contemporary geometric sans serif
typeface that tries to convey a technological/futuristic feeling while keeping
an elegant design. Exo is a very versatile font, so it has 9 weights
(the maximum on the web) and each with a true italic version. Exo 2 has a more
organic look that will perform much better at small text sizes and in long
texts.

New port: x11-fonts/montserrat.
The old posters and signs in the traditional neighborhood of Buenos Aires
called Montserrat inspired the design of a typeface that rescues the beauty of
urban typography from the first half of the twentieth century. The goal is to
rescue what is in Montserrat and set it free, under a free, libre and open
source license, the SIL Open Font License.

New port: x11-fonts/firacode
Fira Code is a version of Mozilla's Fira Mono font with additional
ligatures.
It is an extension of the Fira Mono font containing a set of ligatures
for common programming multi-character combinations in languages
like erlang, elixir, haskell, ocaml, clojure, scala etc where these
symbols crop up frequently. This is just a font rendering feature:
underlying code remains ASCII-compatible. This helps to read and
understand code faster. For some frequent sequences like .. or //,
ligatures allow us to correct spacing.

New port: x11-fonts/fifteen.
Fifteen is a faux bitmap font. This font is designed to be used as a monotype
font for use in a terminal, or at a larger size, to look like an over scaled
bitmap. It works well in a 132 column terminal window. It is, of course,
monospaced and has clearly distinct 1I and l, and the zero is slashed.
Quinze is a narrow monospaced font, for programming and terminal emulators. It
is designed to be narrow, and allow 132 columns to be comfortably fitted on a
screen The 1, l and I are clearly distinguished, as are O and 0. The ascii
circumflex is presented as an arrow, consistent with its use as exponentiation
operator.

New port: x11-fonts/alegreya.
Serif family of fonts, part of the Alegreya "super family" like
x11-fonts/alegreya-sans. Upstream does not properly version its releases, so
PORTVERSION was derived from the version in the OTF files plus the date of
the commit we are fetching from GitHub.
From pkg-descr:
Alegreya is a typeface originally intended for literature. Among its
crowning characteristics, it conveys a dynamic and varied rhythm which
facilitates the reading of long texts. Also, it provides freshness to the
page while referring to the calligraphic letter, not as a literal
interpretation, but rather in a contemporary typographic language.

Update CentOS base to 6.5, add userland ports
The Fedora 10 infrastructure ports have been in use since June 2009 and, while
having served a great deed, have become unsupported upstream and hence affected
by unfixed security vulnerabilities. In addition to that, many recent Linux
binaries need newer libc / stdlibc++ versions.
This commit adds the linux-c6- userland as drop-in replacement for the -f10
infrastructure, as well as upgrading the linux_base-c6 port to CentOS 6.5.
If you want to switch to linux-c6 ports, please define at /etc/make.conf:
OVERRIDE_LINUX_BASE_PORT=c6
OVERRIDE_LINUX_NONBASE_PORTS=c6
Additionally, please add the following line to /etc/sysctl.conf:
compat.linux.osrelease=2.6.18
Upgrading procedures are shown in /usr/ports/UPDATING.
This work has been inspired by Artyom Mirgorodskiy's post to emulation@ in
November 2013, using and extending mav@'s work. It has been tested extensively
and most reported issues were already fixed. Please report any additional bug
or "features" to the emulation mailing list.

to 1.6.1.
The font was renamed upstream, so follow suit and rename the port. Changes
since 1.3.1:
1.3.2 - Various fixes: playing again with bold m, moving accents again,
taking care again of Powerline symbols, clean 8 and R. Add a few box
drawing characters (for use with vim-indentline). Generate webfonts
(goal: this font used for code samples on all cool languages'
websites). Add a WIP medium version of the proportional font.
1.4 - Rename font to Fantasque Sans, because fantasque is the new cosmic.
Make W look symetrical at big size.
1.4.1 - Drop Reserved Font Name. You can now subset, compress, hint and
whatnot without worrying about renaming. Many small improvements (8,
s , t, a, e, {, }, W, i, l, g...).
1.5 - Add regular italic version. Some small changes (Q, w, y, n).
1.6 - Add bold italic version.
1.6.1 - Simplify @ to make it look sharp at all sizes. Various fixes.

The Andika font is designed to work on systems and with applications that
provide support for TrueType fonts and for Unicode character encoding.
This includes Microsoft Windows 9x or greater, as well as recent versions
of the Mac OS (version 9.0 and later), and also some implementations of
Unix / Linux (TrueType font support on Unix and Linux may depend upon the
particular applications in use). On some systems (true, at least, of
32-bit Windows), it can also be used with older applications that use
legacy, industry-standard, 8-bit character encodings.
The preceding characterization of system requirements describes the
minimum needed to display characters. Realizing the full capabilities of
this font involves additional requirements. This font is designed to work
with either of two advanced font technologies, Graphite or OpenType.
To take advantage of the advanced typographic capabilities of this font,
you must be using applications that provide an adequate level of support
for Graphite and OpenType.

- Rename gentium to gentium-plus tracking upstream changes
- Use the generic facilities provided in bsd.xorg.mk for handling
font installation, rather than rolling our own. This allows
removing files/fonts.dir from both ports.
- Add LICENSE, and so modify pkg-message not to mention licensing
- Use PLIST_FILES and PORTDOCS rather than a separate pkg-plist file

Add x11-fonts/dina.
Dina is a monospace bitmap font, primarily aimed at programmers. It is
relatively compact to allow a lot of code on screen, while (hopefully)
clear enough to remain readable even at high resolutions.

Source Code Pro was designed by Paul D. Hunt as a companion to Source Sans.
This complementary family was adapted from the Source design due to a
request to create a monospaced version for coding applications.
Source Code Pro currently supports a wide range of languages using Latin
script, and includes all the characters in the Adobe Latin 4 glyph set. As
an open source project, it is expected that incremental updates will be
made over time to extend glyph set coverage and functionality.

Source Sans Pro: Adobeâs first open source type family
Source Sans Pro was designed by Paul D. Hunt as Adobe's first open source
typeface family, conceived primarily as a typeface for user interfaces.
Source Sans Pro draws inspiration from the clarity and legibility of
twentieth-century American gothic typeface designs.
Source Sans Pro currently supports a wide range of languages using Latin
script, and includes all the characters in the Adobe Latin 4 glyph set. As
an open source project, it is expected that incremental updates will be

The proggy programmer's fonts (Proggy Clean, Proggy Square, Proggy Small,
and Proggy Tiny) are a set of fixed-width screen fonts that are designed
for code listings. Each font only comes in one size that it looks good at.
The fonts were optimized while coding in C or C++. For this reason,
characters like the '*' were placed vertically centered, as '*' usually
means dereference or multiply, but never 'to the power of' like in Fortran.
The {}s are centered horizontally (as the author's coding style aligns
braces vertically), the zero looks different from the capital oh, and there
is never any confusion between ells, ones, and eyes. Additionally, the
arithmetic operators (+ - * < >) are all axis aligned.

Here are new Linux Fedora 10 infrastructure ports.
Those ports are intended to be used with 8-CURRENT at least
with SVN r192206.
If you want to switch to linux-f10 ports, please define at /etc/make.conf:
OVERRIDE_LINUX_BASE_PORT=f10
OVERRIDE_LINUX_NONBASE_PORTS=f10
An upgrading procedure is shown at /usr/ports/UPDATING, entries 20090401
and 20070327.
For the first time all tested linux ports work as expected(!):
. acroread8;
. google-earth;
. skype;
. seamonkey.
Many thanks for kernel folks who really did the main work
(and I wrote only some lines of ports).
There is a good chance that those ports may become a default
for 8.0-RELEASE. Please, test and report back to emulation@ ML.

Here are new Linux Fedora 8 infrastructure ports.
The recommended version of FreeBSD to use them is 8-CURRENT.
FreeBSD-7.x is not fully compatible with compat.linux.osrelease
2.6.16. Some syscalls cannot be MFCed due to native FreeBSD
ABI breakage.
Usage (and package building):
1. define compat.linux.osrelease=2.6.16;
2. add following variables to /etc/make.conf:
. OVERRIDE_LINUX_BASE_PORT=f8;
. OVERRIDE_LINUX_NONBASE_PORTS=f8.
